Terms of Service
By uploading a file to temp-host.com, you agree to these terms. Don't upload illegal content, don't use us as part of a malware or spam pipeline, and don't expect any guarantees. We're a free best-effort service. We reserve the right to delete any file at any time, for any reason or none.
Prohibited content and conduct
You may not upload, host, or share, and you may not use temp-host.com to distribute, the following:
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, or exploit kits. Including droppers, loaders, stealers, RATs, payloads, packed binaries staged for use against third parties, or any executable distributed without the recipient's informed consent.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Zero tolerance. Detected or reported material is preserved and forwarded to NCMEC under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
- Material that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights you do not own or have a license to distribute. See our DMCA process.
- Content that is illegal in the jurisdiction of the operator (United States), including but not limited to non-consensual intimate imagery, terrorist propaganda, threats of violence, fraud instruments, and stolen credentials or PII dumps.
- Harassment campaigns. Doxing files, mass-mailable harassment kits, or content directed at intimidating an identified person.
- Spam-link laundering. Using temp-host URLs as cloaked redirectors, link shorteners, phishing payload hosts, or to bypass spam filters on email, SMS, or messaging platforms.
- Content used to defraud, including phishing pages, fake login forms, scam documents, and counterfeit goods listings.
- Automated bulk uploads beyond reasonable personal use, scraping, or any attempt to abuse the service as scratch storage for an unrelated application.
If you're not sure whether something is allowed, the safe answer is don't upload it. Use a service with a contract.
Service caveats
Best-effort, no SLA. temp-host.com is provided as a free public service. There is no uptime guarantee, no support contract, and no escalation path. Files may be unavailable during maintenance, hardware failures, or network outages. We may discontinue the service entirely without notice.
We may delete anything at any time. If a file looks like it violates these terms, looks like an abuse pattern, or for any other reason in our sole discretion — we may remove it before its scheduled expiry. We may also block IPs, block file types, or rate-limit uploads at any time.
Files can be subpoenaed. Law enforcement and civil litigants can compel disclosure of files that still exist on disk at the moment service is effected. See the privacy policy for what we can and cannot provide. If your content is sensitive, encrypt it client-side before upload.
Public URL caveat. Anyone who has the file's URL can download the file. Treat the link like the file itself. If you share it in public, the file is public. We do not detect or block crawlers; if your link is in a public place, search engines and archivers may pick it up.
File size and expiry. Current limit is 100 MB per upload, with selectable expiry from 1 hour to 30 days and a download cap of 1 to unlimited. These limits may change without notice.
Your responsibilities
- You represent that you own, or have permission to distribute, anything you upload.
- You are responsible for the URLs you share and where you share them.
- You will not attempt to circumvent rate limits, file-size caps, or content filtering.
- You will not probe, scan, or attack our infrastructure.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. THE OPERATOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF MALWARE PLACED THERE BY OTHER USERS.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO USD $0 — THE PRICE YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claim, demand, or damages arising from content you uploaded, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
